Summer and volunteer opportunities


  • FACTSnet is an organism made up of organizations and individuals interested in networking sharing resources with each other and in most cases the public. It is a network of networks founded by FACTS (Family And Community Twining Society), Société de Tourisme Centralta/Centralta Tourism Society and Collaborative Information Networks. Our goal is the research and development of community networks, through community dialogues using various forms of communication including in person and online dialogue.  FACTSnet has over a hundred blogs that cater to specific communities, such as social groups, and schools.   • Children's Autism Services of Edmonton is currently recruiting Summer Support Workers to assist in the creating and provision of a unique set of experiences for children with autism and other developmental delays. Details about the positions can be found following this link.

We are located on the shores of Hanmore Lake in the County of Smoky Lake, northeast of Edmonton.   • A Rocha is an international Christian organization which, inspired by God’s love, engages in scientific research, environmental education, community-based conservation projects and sustainable agriculture. At the Nature Centre, interpretive displays and environmental education programming is provided to local schools, groups and visitors. A Rocha is currently hiring into the following positions.
    • Nature Education Coordinator - 16 weeks
    • Conservation Science Coordinator - 1 year position
    • Conservation Field Technician - 16 weeks

  • Start2Finish is a not-for-profit organization running after-school programs with an emphasis on social emotional skills, fitness and literacy in a little over 70 under-resourced  communities across Canada. Want to make a difference in the life of a child? Want to learn new skills? This is for you! We will be needing volunteers for our programs noted below.     • Brainworx! 10 week commitment (90 minutes/week) plus other virtual opportunities), and
